Dancop’s story began in Denmark in 1975, when Jørgen and Kirsten Grynnerup founded the company with a clear ambition: to create practical safety solutions that protect people and improve everyday working environments.

What started as a small family business has since developed into an international organisation, shaped by strong Scandinavian values such as quality, reliability, and responsibility.

From a Single Product to a Broader Purpose

The journey began with an innovative dome mirror designed to improve visibility and prevent theft in retail environments. Its success quickly expanded beyond Denmark into Sweden and the rest of Europe.

This product did more than build a business - it defined a mindset: practical solutions, built to last, and designed for real-world use.

A European Platform from Peine

With the establishment of Dancop International GmbH in 2001, Peine became the centre for international sales, market development, and customer support across Europe.

Over the years, this location has developed into a strong operational hub, connecting markets, partners, and solutions across multiple countries.

Dancop International Today – Independent and Partner-Focused

Today, Dancop International GmbH operates as an independent European company dedicated to supporting our partners with complete safety and operational solutions. By sourcing, combining, and delivering products, expertise, and services, we help simplify their business and create measurable value.

With around 50 employees in Peine, we unite sales, product management, marketing, and customer service in one integrated setup. This enables fast decision-making, high flexibility, and a consistent customer-centric approach.

A New Structure – Strengthening Our Focus

As part of the group’s strategic development, the Danish production activities have been divested in 2025. Dancop International GmbH now operates as an independent European wholesale company, specializing in product development, sourcing, and distribution of a broad portfolio of safety and operational solutions.

This transition allows us to further strengthen our role as a flexible and reliable partner across Europe, expand our product range, and continuously improve the way we support our partners.

While our structure has evolved, our foundation remains unchanged. The values that have defined Dancop since 1975 continue to guide our actions — with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships.
