Founded in 1975 by Jørgen Grynnerup and his wife Kirsten in a humble basement on the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark, Dancop has grown from its modest beginnings into an international leader in innovative mirror and safety solutions.
From Basement Beginnings to Global Reach
Over the past five decades, Dancop has expanded far beyond its origins. What began as a small, family-run business now includes offices in Denmark and Germany, employing more than 100 people and serving customers worldwide. This impressive journey reflects a story of constant growth, adaptability, and commitment to excellence.

Dancop’s remarkable story started with a single product: a dome mirror designed to combat shoplifting in supermarkets and stores. Crafted using a unique combination of materials and techniques, the mirror provided a simple yet effective solution for retailers, revolutionizing inventory security.
Initially, Dancop supplied wholesalers specializing in shop inventory solutions across Denmark. As the second generation in this family-owned business and Group CEO, Peter Grynnerup shared his thoughts on Dancop’s 50-year journey and its future:
