Founded in 1975 by Jørgen Grynnerup and his wife Kirsten in a humble basement on the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark, Dancop has grown from its modest beginnings into an international leader in innovative mirror and safety solutions.

Over the past five decades, Dancop has expanded far beyond its origins. What began as a small, family-run business now includes offices in Denmark and Germany, employing more than 100 people and serving customers worldwide. Dancop’s remarkable story started with a single product: a dome mirror designed to combat shoplifting in supermarkets and stores. Crafted using a unique combination of materials and techniques, the mirror provided a simple yet effective solution for retailers, revolutionizing inventory security.
Initially, Dancop supplied wholesalers specializing in shop inventory solutions across Denmark. The success of the dome mirror soon spread to Sweden, and demand for the innovative product grew rapidly. As the second generation in this family-owned business and Group CEO, Peter Grynnerup shared his thoughts on Dancop’s 50-year journey and its future:
"I am thrilled by the progression and growth we’ve achieved over the past 50 years and on the company’s remarkable journey. What began as an entrepreneurial venture in a garage north of Copenhagen, Denmark, has evolved into a mid-size company operating globally, offering a wide range of safety products and solutions to our customers and partners."
Peter also highlighted his aspirations for the future:
"I am eager to lead the Dancop Group into the next era of business by strengthening our product assortment with the many new launches we have planned and expanding into new markets outlined in our growth strategy.
